Review methodology
Every operator on AnjouanReport runs through the same ten-criteria review before it lands on the ranking. The framework is designed to surface what is actually different between casinos — not the marketing copy, but the licence text, the on-chain timing, and the bonus T&C clauses that change real bankroll value.
The four-step process at a glance
- Licence check — verify stated licence numbers against the public registers of both Curaçao (Gaming Control Board) and Anjouan (Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority).
- Banking test — make a real deposit and a real withdrawal in BTC or USDT. Record block-confirmation count, on-chain fee, internal processing time, KYC trigger.
- Terms read — read the welcome bonus T&Cs end to end. Flag wagering, max-bet during bonus, restricted games list, max win cap.
- Support probe — open a live-chat ticket asking a real question (typically about KYC thresholds). Measure response time and answer quality.
The ten scoring criteria
We rate each operator from 0 to 5 against the following ten criteria. The headline rating shown on the homepage is a weighted average.
| # | Criterion | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Licence verification | Does the stated licence number actually appear on the regulator’s public register? Curaçao GCB + Anjouan AOFA. |
| 2 | Migration status | Where is the operator in the Curaçao → Anjouan transition? Direct, in-flight, pending, or unmoved. |
| 3 | Deposit speed | Time from on-chain confirmation to balance credit. Tested in BTC and USDT (ERC-20 + TRC-20). |
| 4 | Withdrawal speed | Time from withdrawal request to on-chain broadcast, including any internal review queue. |
| 5 | KYC trigger thresholds | At what deposit / withdrawal volume does KYC trigger? Document requirements. |
| 6 | Bonus T&C fairness | Wagering multiplier, max-bet during bonus, restricted games, expiry, max-win cap. |
| 7 | Payment-method breadth | How many cryptocurrencies and which fiat / e-wallet rails. Stablecoin coverage. |
| 8 | Provider catalogue | Slot studios represented (NetEnt, Pragmatic, Play’n GO, Hacksaw, Nolimit, etc.), live dealer providers. |
| 9 | Customer support | Live chat first-response time, accuracy of answers, channel coverage (chat / email / phone). |
| 10 | Responsible gambling tools | Deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, self-exclusion, third-party block lists. |
What we do not test
We do not test game RTPs ourselves — we rely on third-party audits where available (eCOGRA, iTech Labs, GLI). We are upfront about which operators publish independent audits and which do not.
We do not run provably-fair verification scripts against in-house RNG games. Where an operator publishes a provably-fair scheme we check the documentation; we don’t reverse-engineer the hash chain.
How often we re-check
Every operator on the ranking is re-tested every six months at minimum, and immediately whenever:
- Licence status changes (e.g., Curaçao expires, Anjouan grant lands).
- A material T&C change appears in our weekly diff of operator promo pages.
- A meaningful payment method is added or removed.
- We see reports of withdrawal slowdowns or support degradation in dispute forums.
The “Last reviewed” date on each operator page is always accurate to the most recent re-test.
