Editorial standards
AnjouanReport is funded by affiliate commissions paid by the operators we review. This page explains how we keep editorial decisions independent of that funding model, and the conflicts you should know about as a reader.
No paid placement
We do not accept payment for inclusion in the ranking, for higher ratings, for “best of” badge placement, or for favourable wording in a review. There is no rate card. Operators cannot buy their way onto AnjouanReport.
Every operator on this site has been through the same review process and is ranked on the same criteria.
How affiliate links work
Each operator review has a tracked link to that operator. When a reader signs up through one of those links and deposits, the operator pays us a commission. Rates vary between operators and programmes (revenue share, CPA, hybrid).
The commission rate has no influence on the rating or ranking. The rule we follow is: write the editorial first, then negotiate the link. If we cannot get a tracked link with an operator we still review, we publish the review with an untracked link and a note.
Independence checks
The internal controls we use to keep ratings honest:
- Rating before contract. Editorial review is locked before affiliate paperwork starts. The score is set against the ten-criteria framework, not the commercial offer.
- No editorial sign-off from operators. Operators do not see drafts before publication. They can request corrections after publication for factual errors only.
- Public change log. Every material change to a published review (re-rating, T&C update, status change) is dated and visible on the operator page.
- No bonuses negotiated for AnjouanReport readers. We do not run “exclusive bonus” boxes. The bonus you see on our page is the same one any new signup gets via the operator’s storefront.
Conflicts we want you to know about
- We are a small independent editorial; commission revenue is what keeps the site running. That is the structural conflict — we cannot pretend it does not exist.
- Some operators we review are not currently in affiliate partnerships with us, either because we are mid-application, were rejected, or chose not to apply. We do not flag this on every review, but the master list is available on request to info@anjouanreport.com.
Corrections
If you find a factual error in a review — outdated bonus T&Cs, a licence number that does not check out, a payment method we have wrong — please email info@anjouanreport.com. We will correct the page and append a dated correction note at the bottom.
